How do Mellovy and Claude Duet compare?
Each Duet line is from Anthropic’s docs as we read them on October 23, 2026. If something is wrong or has changed, tell us and we’ll fix it.
| Mellovy | Claude Duet | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | It’s an organisation of people and AI colleagues | One person |
| Where you can get it | Invite-only early access, run from the EU | US Claude accounts, by waitlist invitation |
| Teams | Departments, roles and shared work | Only Pro and Max, not Team or Enterprise yet |
| Models | We pick it for each task, from Anthropic, OpenAI, Berget AI or TypeSafe AI | It’s one model, and it’s Anthropic’s |
| Checking the work | A separate AI checks every result, and what you correct turns into a test | It asks you first for some things, and there are automatic safety checks too |
| Memory | The check writes it, for the organisation, each department and each colleague | What Claude remembers about you |
| Computer | Each colleague has its own, and you can watch it and take over | It has its own, but you can’t see it during the preview |
| Approvals | Rules you set, and a check on all it does | It asks before it sends, buys, signs or deletes |
| Tools | Over 1,600 apps, a browser, and Microsoft 365 | Claude’s connected apps, but no Microsoft 365, and only some of Slack |
| Price | No public prices yet, seven-day trial with limited usage | Included in Pro and Max, shares the plan’s limits |
Is Claude Duet available in Europe?
No. Anthropic says Duet is a research preview for Claude accounts in the United States, and you need an invitation from the waitlist to get in. That leaves out the EU, the UK and everywhere else, even if Claude itself works in your country.
Anthropic hasn’t published a date for Europe. And where you can get Duet doesn’t tell you where it stores your data. The Duet docs don’t say that either.
- Pro and Max
- In the preview, for US accounts with a waitlist invitation.
- Team and Enterprise
- Not part of the preview yet.
- Free
- Not part of the preview.
Why do people look for a Claude Duet alternative?
Duet is good at what it’s built for. These are the gaps people run into, all from Anthropic’s own preview docs.
- You’re not in the US
- Duet invitations go to US Claude accounts only.
- You work in a team
- Duet is for one person on Pro or Max. You can’t get Team or Enterprise in the preview.
- You run on Microsoft 365
- The preview doesn’t support Microsoft 365, and Slack only works with limits.
- You want to see the screen
- You can’t see Duet’s computer in the preview, so you can’t watch it work or take over.
- You want more than one model
- Duet runs on one AI model from Anthropic, and you can’t choose another.
- You don’t want the waitlist
- You need an invitation to use Duet.
What is Claude Duet?
Duet is Anthropic’s personal helper. It runs on Anthropic’s own AI model, and it’s got its own computer in the cloud, so it keeps going after you close your laptop. Every few hours it looks at your inbox and calendar. And it only bothers you when something needs you. You talk to it by text or voice in the Claude app.
It brings your Claude memory, skills and connected apps over. And it waits for your yes before it sends, buys, signs or deletes anything. What it uses comes out of your Claude plan’s limits.
What is Mellovy?
Mellovy’s an AI-native company. You and your AI colleagues are all in one organisation. It’s got goals and standards you share, plus departments with roles. And as it grows, it gets better. It doesn’t get worse.
When a colleague finishes something, it doesn’t get to judge it. A separate AI checks the result, and it only sees what came out, not how the colleague got there. Researchers found that AI judges recognize and favor their own outputs. That’s why the one who did it never checks it. And when you correct something, that’s a test the whole organisation learns from.
What happens to your data?
Both companies publish their terms. But here’s where they’re different once you use them.
- Model training
- Mellovy doesn’t train AI models on your conversations or your colleagues’ work. On Claude, a setting on personal accounts decides whether Anthropic can use your chats for training, and it can keep training data for up to five years.
- Where it runs
- Mellovy AB is a Swedish company, and we host in the EU. But a few of the AI companies we use process data outside the European Economic Area, under the EU’s rules for sending data abroad. And Anthropic hasn’t said where it keeps what Duet does, its files or its browser data.
- Contract
- If you’re a business, Mellovy gives you a data processing agreement. But Duet runs on personal Claude accounts, and it doesn’t have one.
- Deleting
- On Claude, when you delete a chat, Anthropic removes it from its systems within 30 days. Anthropic doesn’t say how long Duet keeps tasks and files. Mellovy deletes your data when you ask or when you close your account.
When is Claude Duet the better pick?
If you’re in the US and already pay for Claude Pro or Max, and you want one helper for your own inbox and calendar, Duet is a good fit once you’re invited. And it already knows your Claude memory and connected apps.
Pick Mellovy when you’re outside the US, or when more than one person needs to work with it. Pick it when you want to see the screen and take over, or when you want something other than the one who did the work to check it.
Which Claude Duet alternative should you choose?
- Choose Mellovy if you’re a team, and you want something other than whoever did the work to check every result. You don’t want to build agents or look after them. And you’d like a Swedish company that runs from the EU.
- Choose ChatGPT Dots if you’re in ChatGPT all day and pay for Pro outside Europe, or for Business Premium or Enterprise. And you want agents that start from what ChatGPT already remembers about you.
- Choose Grok Bot if you’re already on Premium or higher on The X Subscription, and you want a few personal agents on your computer and phone today.
- Choose Lindy if you want one teammate your people can message in Slack, iMessage or Gmail. And security checks matter to you.
- Choose Dust if you want agents your whole team shares, that know what your company knows. And you want to be able to keep your data in the EU.
- Choose Relevance AI if you’re a big business that wants teams of agents working across 2,000 other tools, and you’re fine buying through a sales call.
- Choose Zapier Agents if you’re already on Zapier, and you want agents that can act in all the apps you’ve connected.
- Choose Gumloop if it’s the people closest to the job who’ll build the agents, not engineers. And you want them in Slack or Microsoft Teams.
- Choose n8n if you want it on your own servers, with a say over every step. And there’s someone on the team who’s fine with code.

How we compared these Claude Duet alternatives
We haven’t tried every tool ourselves. But we’ve read what each one says it does, what it costs and how it handles security. Every fact on this page links back to where we found it. And we asked them all the same six questions.
- Where it lives
- Is it in a chat app like Slack, in an app of its own, or on a computer of its own?
- Who it’s for
- Is it for you alone, for a team, or for the whole company?
- Who checks the work
- Does something other than the agent look at the result before you rely on it?
- Who builds it
- Do you design the agent yourself, or do you say what you want and get it set up for you?
- Where your data goes
- Where does it run? Can you keep your data in the EU? And what security checks has it published?
- What it costs
- The cheapest paid plan, what’s in it, and how they count what you use.

Pricing
Mellovy opens as invite-only early access. Once you’re in, you add a card and get seven days with limited usage, and we don’t charge you during them. We’ll publish plans and prices when Mellovy opens to everyone.

Questions about Mellovy and Claude Duet.
- Which Claude Duet alternative should I pick?
- It depends on what you need. If you’re outside the US or work in a team, Mellovy is an alternative you can get. It’s an organisation of AI colleagues, run from the EU, and a separate AI checks every result.
- Is Claude Duet available in Europe or the UK?
- No. Anthropic only offers the Duet research preview to Claude accounts in the United States, and only by waitlist invitation. And it hasn’t said when it’s coming to Europe.
- Can teams use Claude Duet?
- Not right now. The preview’s only for Pro and Max personal accounts, and you can’t get it on Team or Enterprise.
- What’s the main difference between Mellovy and Claude Duet?
- Duet’s one personal helper, and it only runs on a model from Anthropic. But Mellovy’s a whole organisation of AI colleagues. It’s got departments, it’s got a memory you all share, and a separate AI checks every result. It also picks the model for each task.
- Does Claude Duet work with Microsoft 365?
- Not in the preview. Anthropic says it doesn’t support Microsoft 365, and Slack only works with limits. But Mellovy does work with Microsoft 365.
